Controlling Your Ego and Finding Peace

Controlling our ego is very hard to do if you have no idea of what your ego is. Most people will not strip themselves of the programming that they have been fed since birth. Let me explain.

The definition of “ego” is

noun
  1. a person’s sense of self-esteem or self-importance.
    “a boost to my ego”
    synonyms:self-esteem, self-importance, self-worth, self-respect, self-image, self-confidence

“the defeat was a bruise to his ego”

So your own “self image” is what your “ego” is.

How do you view yourself?

Are you about competition and winning.

Do you believe how much you have makes you who you are?

Are your always worried about  your reputation?

That is your “ego”.

When do you develop and start controlling your ego?

When you were born you had no ego. You developed your ego by what you were told and how you were treated.

Here is a thought. When your were in your mothers womb you were being created from cells and had no control over it and you came out perfect. You had everything you needed to live.

Then your parents imparted all there knowledge, limitations, and expectations on you.

Your ego controls you. You see yourself as others see you or how you perceive they see you.

Controlling Your Ego

Think of E.G.O. as Edging God Out.

You have replaced your higher self with a self limiting picture.

Are you an inspired person? Do you have a passion?

I am here to tell you that if you surrender to your dream and not your self image and you will be happier.

You are not the car you drive, the job you have or the family you have. Your are a divine creation made by the highest most powerful spiritual presence that we all were created from.

Controlling your ego is to get in line with your authentic self. The real you. The person you want to be.

To many people live like everyone else because that is what everyone else is doing.

You do not attract what you want but you do attract who you are.

There is a great movie starring a great man you should watch to understand this concept he calls “The Shift”.

Controlling Your Ego

It is when you go from ambition to meaning in your life that it all comes together. Ambition turns into purpose.
